Environmental Affairs Board Administrative Assistant

The Environmental Affairs Board Administrative Assistant provides assistance to Core members and the Environmental Programs Advisor by taking minutes at weekly meetings, writing and distributing the weekly newsletter, maintaining all financial paperwork and budget information, and by managing the EAB website.


  • Must be able to commit to attending all EAB meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm
  • Must be able to keep very accurate written records of discussions
  • Must be able to maintain detailed spreadsheets
  • Must be extremely professional and comfortable with email communication
  • Must be extremely organized
  • Experience writing newsletters and managing WordPress sites beneficial, but not required


  • Check Environmental Affairs Board email account, respond to any messages or forward on to appropriate party
  • Maintain office order and cleanliness, greet drop-in vistors and offer assistance as needed
  • Process any new outside funding requests and forward to Core members for review; schedule presentation for next Core meeting
  • Attend EAB Board meeting and present Administrative report
  • Take minutes at all Core meetings and distribute to Core members and listservs as required
  • Update budget spreadsheet with any approved funding allocations, keep Core informed of current budget status
  • Process all requisition forms
  • Attend EAB General meeting and record presenter information for newsletter
  • Draft and distribute weekly newsletter
  • Update EAB website with information about organization, various campaigns, local resources, and how to get involved
  • Assist Historian in compiling annual report/yearbook
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
