Bicycle Shop Mechanic

The Associated Students Bicycle Shop exists to help facilitate bicycle repairs for the UCSB community. Students applying to work for the AS Bicycle Shop do not necessarily need to know how to service bicycles but must be willing to learn, exhibit a passion for cycling as well as interact with customers in a fast paced environment.
-Attend and participate in shop training exercises.
-Complete all assigned repairs in a safe and timely manner.
-Demonstrate proper shop etiquette by maintaining a clean and organized space.
-Present a friendly and helpful attitude towards customers & co-workers.
-Must have a passion for cycling.
-Must have a basic working knowledge of tools and tool safety.
-Must have a helpful attitude and be willing to learn and take instruction.
-Must be willing to work in a fast paced challenging environment.
-Must possess excellent time management skills.

Hours Per Week: Flexible; students are expected to work a minimum of 6 hours and cannot exceed 19 hours per week. Most students work 10-12 hours per week.
